01 / RANGE

One wavelength, seven form factors

Pick the module by the payload,
not the datasheet

Every module here is 905 nm, Class-1 and UART-TTL. They differ where it matters to an integrator: reach, weight, and the shape that fits your housing — from a 6 g micro engine to a 3,000 m flagship.

How a module gets chosen

Start from the measurement
you have to make

Target, range, accuracy, environment and host limits decide the module. A model name is the output of that conversation, not the input — so we run the same four steps on every enquiry, whether it ends in a standard part or an OEM build.

How integration works
  1. 01

    Define

Target size and reflectivity, required range, accuracy band, update rate, environment and the limits your host imposes.

  2. 02

    Match

Optical architecture, beam divergence, measurement cadence and the SWaP envelope that will actually fit the payload.

  3. 03

    Integrate

Mechanics, supply rail, UART-TTL protocol and baud, trigger behaviour and the thermal path through your housing.

  4. 04

    Verify

Assembly and measured performance against the conditions we agreed — before design release, not after.

02 / WAVELENGTH

Why 905 nm

The right wavelength for
compact, eye-safe ranging

905 nm direct time-of-flight runs on low-cost silicon detectors — which is what makes these modules small, affordable and Class-1 eye-safe at the same time. For sub-3 km night-vision, thermal and UAV work, it is the wavelength that fits the payload.

SiSilicon DToF

Detects on cheap, mature silicon — no exotic receiver, so the module stays compact and cost-effective.

Class 1Eye-safe

905 nm stays Class-1 under IEC 60825-1 — safe to use and align around people, unlike designators.

<3kmSweet spot

Ideal for night vision, thermal clip-ons and UAV gimbals where reach and SWaP have to balance.

1535Step up when

Need longer reach or a wider eye-safe margin? Move to 1535 nm on the ERDI global site.

03 / DEPLOYMENT

Where these modules earn their keep

Built for the dark
and the moving

A1

Night vision & thermal sights

Add a precise range readout to a monocular or clip-on without breaking its weight or eye-safety budget. 905 nm stays Class-1 for use around people.

Fit: SPD1200M2 · SPD1200N0 · LR1000B23

A2

UAV & drone payloads

Altitude hold, terrain following and target cueing in EO/IR gimbals where every gram of SWaP is contested. Adaptive output trades refresh for reach mid-flight.

Fit: LRF3000A1 · SPD1200S2G · LR1500E2

A3

Security & surveillance

Perimeter ranging, gate control and trigger sensing with eye-safe emission and IP67 lens cavities for continuous outdoor duty.

Fit: LR1200D23 · LR2000E2 · SPD1200Z2

A4

Industrial monitoring & robotics

Obstacle and level sensing for mobile robots, AGVs and fixed process monitoring — the short-range DToF line adds sub-1,500 m sensors from 1 g alongside the continuous-duty industrial series.

Fit: LRF100H · LR1500E2 · SPD1200S2

A5

Handheld optics

Meter-class ranging for portable instruments and sport optics — from a body small enough to hold in the objective bell.

Fit: LRF3000A1 · LR1000C3 · LR1000E2

A6

Surveying & mapping

Consistent, repeatable readings across a full working day for total stations, laser levels and mapping rigs.

Fit: LRF3000A1 · LR1500D23 · LR2000E2
